Music and chords walk hand in hand! And I think I have found new
musical chords! You might not believe it - but read on:
Summary: I've played with
quarter tones and think I’ve found new music chords. I have collected them in a book, called it "New Music Chords I", and put it up for sale on the internet at http://www.newmusicchords.com/, so that everyone
can enjoy and use them. Maybe we’ll have a whole new music scene soon!
Today we use mostly whole and half tones. While there is still an ocean of
tones to take from, if you use quarter tones, in example! A chord is tones that ring well together. When musicians make music they use chords. So, why is it that everyone I have asked, that knows music, laughs at me when I claim that I have found new chords? They claim that there are no new chords! They say a
quarter tone ring (I want to add almost) like the nearest half or
whole tone. The answer is that that is what they’re taught, I believe. But is it true?
It can’t be. How old could our music theory be? My best guess: Quite old! Maybe two centuries. And maybe even about to become in need of being added to!
Ok! Well, I still longed for an instrument with quarter tones. So I found a free program that could play these
tones. And today I have a collection of what I believe is 186 new chords. The book I called “New Music Chords I”. The beauty of this amazing book is that maybe it opens for musicians, other people interested in making music or composing, and listeners(!) a whole new world of music!
Ok! I really would love to hear someone using something else than the usual, good, old, chords! Really! I would like to hear something brand new and different!
Ok, again! So I give out this book. I got some sort of standard copyright on it. I take it that it means that this book, only I may give out. I would, of course, never copyright a chord. Chords are for everyone! So go ahead and get started with what I believe is a collection of new chords, that I so badly want you to know about, and make me some tight new music, everyone!
PS: I know that if you know three chords and can play them on a guitar, you are able to make a song! Many songs have been made from very few chords, yet they became big hits.
Is the music scene about to change with this book? At least I hope it opens up for more music world wide!
